What you'd do

Major duties

Consults with and provides guidance to SAA staff and supervisors on Human Resources policies and procedures. Collects and enters data to enable analysis of trends and metrics; develops systems and trackers to support data collection. Responds to routine employee or external stakeholder inquiries and escalates more complicated situations. Performs transactions across HR systems and platforms, such as posting requisitions, updating engagement data, or documenting employee relations actions, and maintains data accuracy and integrity. Identifies training needs for teams and individuals. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve HR processes and system efficiencies. Other duties, as assigned.

What you need to qualify

Other Duties/ Responsibilities May perform duties of a contract representative (COR) as needed. Required Work Experience 4+ years of progressively responsible HR experience. Required Special Skills/ Knowledge As part of our hiring process, we may conduct a skills assessment to better understand an applicant’s proficiency in key areas relevant to the role. In keeping with the policy of conflicts of interest, relatives of Sergeant at Arms employees are not eligible to work in the Human Resources Office. Ability to interpret employment laws. Effective communicator, strong organization skills, ability to train employees, ability to handle sensitive/confidential information. Knowledge of personal computers and word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Experience using Cornerstone OnDemand or a comparable applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage requisitions, candidate workflows, and reporting. Desired Qualifications Experience updating and maintaining SharePoint sites, including page content and recruitment guides. Experience creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for HR processes or systems. Working Conditions Sedentary.
