Management and Program Analyst
What you'd do
This position is located in the Bureau of Consular Affairs, Passport Services Directorate, Passport Issuance Operation, Region 5 (CA/PPT/I/RD5). The Passport Services Directorate facilitates international travel and enhances national security by issuing secure passport documents to eligible U.S. citizens and nationals in a responsive and responsible manner.
Major duties
Ensures that day-to-day passport services functions and long-range goals and objectives involving facilities are addressed timely. Reviews quantitative data, reports, and documents to assess optimal operational effectiveness and efficiency. Conducts ongoing regional assessments to identify areasfor improvement and advancement for regional and agency/center programs such as for customer service, fraud prevention, and adjudication programs. Provides advisory assistance to regional agencies and centers in the implementation of operational plans.
What you need to qualify
Applicants must meet all the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement. NOTE: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements, by the closing date of this announcement. Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F. GS-12: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience assessing the effectiveness of an organization's programs. Experience analyzing and defining data requirements. Experience establishing liaison within and outside one's organization. There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position. GS-13: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience planning, coordinating, and assessing the effectiveness of an organization's programs, and making recommendations to improve operations. Experience analyzing and defining data requirements and developing applicable processes for utilizing the data. Experience establishing and maintaining liaison within and outside one's organization. Experience applying qualitative and quantitative methods. There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
