Major duties
As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Plans, develops, organizes, evaluates, and directs comprehensive programs covering all areas of HR processing. Ensures employees within the Processing Unit follow applicable laws and Office of Personal Management (OPM) regulations, as well as DHS, and ICE policies and procedures. Provides administrative and technical advice to staff, as necessary, for accomplishing the work of the Processing Unit. Advises management on the impact of changes to statutory or regulatory responsibilities and recommends appropriate action to reduce the impact on ICE program offices. Initiates and monitors studies and analyses affecting management of program requirements such as funding and milestones and deliverables.

You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Providing advice and guidance to supervisors, managers, and employees on complex and sensitive processing issues. Interprets and explains laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, including those found in the Guide to Processing Personnel Actions to leadership, human resources staff, and employees. Conducting studies concerning organization-wide and/or government-wide processing issues. Providing technical guidance and training to leadership and human resources partners.
