What you'd do

You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Major duties

You will initiate and conduct supply system stock inspections of DLA and Navy assets and reviews results. You will review and analyze the PQDR or ER to ensure the quality of the material. You will communicate with the CDA to ensure compliance with specification requirements. You will provide direction and guidance to supply technicians to resolve supply actions.

What you need to qualify

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Lifecycle Quality Assurance Conducts independent technical analysis and processes PQDRs and ERs for complex Navy Nuclear Propulsion (NRP) repair parts from receipt to disposal, ensuring procurement and quality requirements are met across the entire material lifecycle. Contract Review & Material Disposition Evaluates procurement contracts, drawings, technical data packages, and testing/inspection systems to verify contract compliance, providing formal written disposition instructions (use as-is, repair, scrap, or vendor return) and routing liability issues to the DCMA Liaison. Technical Oversight & CDA Collaboration Consults with the Cognizant Design Agent (CDA), critically reviewing their technical recommendations for accuracy and feasibility, and formally challenging any insufficient or conflicting CDA evaluations to ensure sound resolution of deficiencies. Stock Inspections, System Updates & Case Management Conducts supply system stock inspections, manages and provides disposition for unacceptable assets, recommends specification and cataloging updates, and independently manages caseload priorities to meet strict NAVSEA timelines.
