Major duties
This position is located in the Office of Small Business and reports to the Vice President of Sales. The incumbent serves as a Managing Director for Broker Accounts for one of EXIM Bank's regional offices. Duties include, but are not limited to: Provides executive leadership and strategic direction to subordinate managers and professional staff responsible for the review, processing, and administration of guaranteed loan applications. Establishes expectations and monitors supervisory practices to promote balanced workloads, maintain quality standards, and support the effective execution of Division priorities. Oversees the assignment of work across subordinate units, ensuring that case complexity is appropriately aligned with staff expertise, specialization, and developmental needs. Establishes and advances strategic priorities for lender recruitment, program outreach, and stakeholder engagement to expand effective utilization of EXIM's guaranteed lending authorities. Provides leadership and direction for the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive training programs, technical assistance, and authoritative policy guidance for participants in designated programs. Provides oversight of pricing strategy and fee design, balancing risk management, policy priorities, portfolio performance, and market dynamics to safeguard the Bank's financial integrity and mission effectiveness. Provides strategic leadership for Guaranteed Lending by steering its participation in agency-wide planning, policy formulation, and modernization initiatives, driving reforms that strengthen operational effectiveness and future-readiness.
What you need to qualify
Specialized Experience (Credit for Specialized Experience on resume must reflect 40 hours/Full-time per week for each period of work): GS-15: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal Government. Specialized experience includes: Experience leading guaranteed lending, commercial credit, or financial assistance programs involving complex loan and guarantee transactions. Experience serving as a senior credit authority responsible for approving complex financial transactions and overseeing portfolio risk, underwriting quality, and policy compliance. Experience leading strategic planning, policy development, stakeholder engagement, and program improvement initiatives with senior officials and external partners. Education cannot be substituted for experience at the GS-15 grade level.
