GENERAL ENGINEER
What you'd do
You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (R&D) DIVISION of HQ US MARINE CORPS. Major duties
You will use a strong background and expertise in directed energy weapons to provide technical oversight and project management of multiple research and development projects. You will apply knowledge of engineering and physical science principles/techniques in accomplishing assigned research and development project technical objectives. You will solve unique technology development problems and resolve challenging programmatic issues. You will review technology development plans for assigned projects and ensure they are submitted within established timeframes.
What you need to qualify
In addition to the basic education requirement, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing complex engineering projects by resolving technical and programmatic challenges, create and deliver technology development plans and required documentation.
