SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (PROCESSES)
What you'd do
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (Processes) in the Engineering & Planning Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.
Major duties
You will manage Planning Functions for all command repair, class maintenance and alteration planning, associated with submarine and ship repair and maintenance of TRIDENT submarines and other ships, submarines and craft assigned. You will manage master job and active job files regarding applicability, standardization and compliance with various Fleet, NAVSEA and command directives. You will oversee the creation of new maintenance requirements/estimates and the updating of existing requirements/estimates in the division Master Job File. You will plan short- and long-term work schedules, establish and set priorities on the basis of specified work schedules, levels of difficulties and employee capabilities. Identify problems with scheduled production efforts and recommend solutions. You will formulate and execute division-level budgets and manage dynamic production schedules across diverse technical disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical, and preventative maintenance). You will manage planner training and qualification programs. You will develop and ensure adequacy and accuracy of position descriptions, develops performance standards and evaluate employees work performance. You will maintain and administer discipline, adjust informal complaints, grievances and carry out Equal Employment Opportunity policies.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing the technical and administrative aspects of the production control program to effectively develop, implement and recommend changes or modifications to processes and strategies of the repair, maintenance or alteration of submarines or similar complex maritime vessels within a waterfront ship operations setting.
