What you'd do

You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Security Department, Technology Protection Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Major duties

You will manage security contributions to the Program Executive Office (PEO), including all assigned program offices. You will interface directly with agency and select DoD Program Managers to ascertain security support requirements. You will make appropriate security support decisions based on program requirements, resources, and timelines as well as develop and modify strategies to ensure adequate security support at minimal cost You will exercise authority to direct, coordinate, and oversee work of subordinates along with establishing objectives for work to be accomplished. You will integrate all security disciplines, counterintelligence, and other defensive methods to deny foreign collection efforts and prevent unauthorized disclosure for all assigned program offices.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level (GS-12/13) or pay band (DA-05) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Possessing advanced security expertise supported by formal training and extensive experience safeguarding controlled unclassified, classified, and critical program information; (2) Demonstrating thorough knowledge of security regulations applicable for managing security requirements for a major acquisition program; (3) Displaying an understanding in program protection planning, system security engineering, and foreign disclosure processes for major weapon systems; (4) Integrating competence across all security disciplines including information, personnel, industrial, physical security, and counterintelligence to prevent unauthorized disclosure and counter foreign intelligence threats; (5) Protecting sensitive technologies while communicating effectively with management, interagency and foreign partners, and exhibiting proven leadership in managing complex security activities; and (6) Demonstrating experience with Research Technology Protection (RTP) and applying acquisition security.
