This vacancy is for a Supervisory Program Manager position in the Associate Director for Field Operations located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. Major duties
Supports daily operations by coordinating workflows, tracking deliverables, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and organizational deadlines. Provides leadership, direction and coordination of the areas assigned to this position which are engaged in researching, planning, modeling and analysis functions. Facilitates communication and coordination among program staff, managers, and cross-functional partners.
What you need to qualify
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: Managing multiple projects concurrently and setting priorities to meet objectives within a tight schedule; Facilitating meetings for all levels of management and staff to ensure that objectives are met; allocating resources for an organizational unit; Leading projects using project management techniques or tools in planning and executing activities. Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
