What you'd do

As a Senior Program Manager, Business Operations & Analytics, you will perform a wide variety of planning, analysis, evaluation, and project management to improve the efficiency of internal administrative operations. Location of position: GSA; Federal Acquisition Service (FAS);Office of Business Optimization; Governance, Strategy and Performance, Strategy and Performance Service Center. We are currently filling three vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Major duties

Position can be filled in any of the following locations: Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Fort Worth, TX; Kansas City, MO; Lakewood, CO; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; Tacoma, WA; Washington, DC You will perform the following duties: Applies a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess and improve program effectiveness and complex management processes, projects, and systems. Communicates and interacts with product owners, product managers, peers, users and stakeholders, agency employees, contractors, and external federal agencies to ensure completeness of documentation, obtain missing information, and ensure stakeholder understanding of requirements, project activities, reports, and/or other information. Perform administrative and special, one-time projects of a time sensitive and confidential nature requiring extensive research, analysis, and evaluation of a wide variety of management and/or program information to enable informed, data-driven decisions. Coordinates with stakeholders to ensure conformity and consistency of procedures and interpretations in resolving issues related to program office and programs; evaluates new or modified legislation, proposed regulations, agency guidance, and/or other guidelines for projected impact on the organization's programs, services, and resources. Collaborates with other subject matter experts or stakeholders to select relevant sources of information to perform job duties and makes strategic recommendations on data collection, integration, and retention requirements incorporating business requirements and knowledge of best practices.

The GS-14 salary range starts at $127,829.00 per year. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience in the management of programs with experience in all of the following: Identifying performance metrics and targets to track strategic improvements while ensuring alignment with agency plans and policies. Providing advice to management on the interpretation of laws, policies, and/or regulations of strategic importance. Facilitating strategy reviews with various program areas to analyze trends and/or determine the impact of organizational changes. Using qualitative and quantitative methods (such as Administrative data analysis, Trend analysis, Narrative documentation, etc.) to evaluate program effectiveness, conduct gap analyses, and/or develop long-range plans.
