This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for Domestic Def Ind Base Facilities & Major Range/Test Facilities Base in DOD. Major duties

You will perform testing, calibration, diagnostics repair, and certification of Electronic Measurement Equipment, Electro-Mechanical Equipment, and Mechanical Test Systems. You will apply a comprehensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic principles. You will operate electronic principles related to equipment which is integrated with other device and complicated by a variety of multi-component assemblies and devices with intricate functional relationship. You will utilize electronic circuits to measure electronic or electrical quantities to determine the performance characteristics and accuracy of other instruments and equipment. You will judge the impact of repairs on related integrated devices and perform further adjustments and alignments. You will create and execute a complete operation testing program for a system or product for a weapons system or combat system.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION performing duties such as: 1) Aligning, troubleshooting, testing, inspecting, repairing, modifying, calibrating and certifying precision measurement equipment such as RF, microwave equipment, oscilloscopes, time base, audio power, DC measurements, voltmeters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, pulse generators, frequency counter, oscilloscopes, deadweight tester, mercury manometers, optical fixtures, proving rings and laminar flow meters; 2) Analyzing and isolating component malfunctions; 3) Calculating and determining tolerances, performance tests, and calibrations; 4) Analyzing circuits and preparing or interpreting detailed diagrams and schematics to effectively calibrate and certify a variety of complex electronic precision measurement equipment, instruments, and standards; 5) Applying tolerance accuracy ratio calculations to determine suitability to calibration; 6) Performing testing, calibrating, diagnostic repairing, and certifying of Electronic Measurement Equipment, Electro-Mechanical Equipment, and Mechanical Test Systems; and 7) Using various precision measurement instruments and standards such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, pulse generators, frequency counters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, deadweight tester, mercury manometers, optical fixtures, proving rings, and laminar flow meters.
