What you'd do

You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist in the Research & Development Group, Weapons & Energetics Department, Weapons & Energetics Safety & Ops Division of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Major duties

You will be responsible for managing ordnance logistics supporting Research, Development, Test and Evaluation. You will supervise civilian and contract personnel, and will work with subordinate supervisors and leads, to ensure all employees understand standard safety regulations, industrial hygiene safeguards, and precautions. You will educate personnel on the characteristics of ammunition, explosives, or other hazardous materials involved as well as the selection, use, and care of the necessary tools, materials, personnel protective equipment (PPE) and handling equipment. You will be responsible for overseeing the naval ordnance inventory accuracy and financial program.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Understanding of ordnance information system (OIS) and effectively using it to manage the inventory with over 20,000 line items; 2) Managing a complex cost redistribution account (CRA) to ensure budget compliance; 3) Overseeing contractors and supervising personnel in day to day operations; 4) Planning the use of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, tools and other resources to meet/support energetic operations and waste munitions: 5) Understanding suffice to implement Organizational Risk Management (ORM) theories and practices; 6) Understanding suffice to manage inventory and shipments in accordance with policy and procedures.
