What you'd do
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Consumer Information & Insurance Oversight (CCIIO), Consumer Support Group (CSG), Division of Independent Dispute Resolution (DIDR). As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-14, you will lead and coordinate program policy development for the establishment, operations, and oversight of the federal Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) processes.
Major duties
Lead the federal Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) programs, including policy development, implementation, and oversight. Direct strategic planning and program management to ensure effective implementation of IDR requirements and achievement of organizational goals. Supervise division staff and contractors, overseeing work assignments, performance management, and organizational effectiveness. Manage division resources, including budget, procurement, workforce planning, and special projects. Serve as a senior advisor and liaison to federal agencies and stakeholders on IDR policy and program implementation.

In order to qualify for the GS-14 grade level, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Developing or analyzing policies related to programs under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) or the No Surprises Act (NSA), for example, the federal Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) process; AND 2) Advising leadership on critical issues that may impact policy implementation or business planning; AND 3) Leading a project or team by overseeing the progress of team projects or other work assignments. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
