Major duties

You will be designated in writing by the Commanding Officer or the SCMSRO (Staff CMS Responsible Officer) as the EKMS (Electronic Key Management System) manager. You will ensure the CO/SCMSRO, alternate managers and local element personnel are kept abreast of newly created and revised EKMS manuals and procedures and impact on the command. You will ensure that all material users that are authorized to draw or witness the processing of COMSEC (Communication Security) material within the EKMS program are appropriately cleared an authorized at the respective clearance level. You will maintain an active accounting of 450-500 secure wire line and mobile telephone units. You will supervise the key requirement of each crypto net/circuit and is responsible for obtaining and distributing COMSEC keying material as crypto net members dictate. You will be the primary system administrator for the Local Management Device/Key Processor (LMD/KP) platform and is solely responsible for its proper use, and security.

What you need to qualify

GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, analyze, and resolve security problems and administer security programs. GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing a variety of security duties in the areas of security planning and administration.
