What you'd do

You will serve as a Test Management Specialist in the Pacific Target and Marine Operations (PTMO) Division, Threat Target Systems Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

Major duties

You will develop and review operational test plans and range documentation to schedule and execute target operations. You will serve as the primary customer liaison, translating requirements into test strategies while tracking program cost, schedule, and performance. You will lead the real-time execution of aerial and surface target operations, directing range assets and personnel during live events. You will apply Operational Risk Management (ORM) and safety policies to mitigate hazards during high-risk test and evaluation events. You will present operational briefings, de-briefings, and performance reports to diverse stakeholder groups.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band (DS-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Applying aerial target operations principles and policies to plan, coordinate, and support Test and Evaluation (T&E) events, including schedule development and resource identification; 2) Performing independent test requirement analysis and preparing operational plans for target operations; 3) Tracking cost, schedule, and performance for operational programs to ensure milestones and objectives are met; 4) Leading and participating in live test conduct while applying Operational Risk Management (ORM) principles in an operational setting; 5) Acting as a liaison between internal teams and external customers to translate operational requirements into meaningful engineering recommendations; and 6) Preparing and presenting meeting briefs and summary reports to diverse audiences.
