What you'd do

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a MANAGEMENT ANALYST, Position Description Number T5645000 and is part of the 105TH AW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. Veterans' preference does not apply to this vacancy due to internal merit promotion.

Major duties

As a MANAGEMENT ANALYST (GS-0343-10), you will provide information and analyses to all levels of management using the assessments to answer the why, how, when and where questions.

What you need to qualify

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical, or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes, and principles of management. Knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience must demonstrate knowledge of retrieving and analyzing maintenance data, presenting results to management. Interpreting findings from maintenance data and the use of statistical techniques. Identifying trends and significant deviations from plans, schedules, and workload estimates. Analyzes deficiencies in areas such as material consumption and training, workload, scheduling, management, and maintenance resources use. Develops policies and procedures for MIS application within maintenance activities. Oversees the identification and correction of file errors within the database. Performs in-depth comprehensive analysis of complex and prioritized unit readiness issues. Analyzes performance data to determine manpower, equipment, and facilities maintenance capabilities.
