Food and Beverage Attendant (Snack Bar) NA-02
What you'd do
This position is located at Java Cafe at Presidio of Monterey. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
Major duties
In a Snack Bar, prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and chicken sandwiches, pizzas, french fries, etc. Accepts food orders from patrons and serves beverages. Spot checks guest checks to ensure that the information recorded is correct. Serves as cashier in the snack bar, receiving payment by cash or charge. Completes cash report at the end of assigned shift. Follows all safety, security, and good housekeeping rules. Ensures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned. Cleans other work areas to include walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas. Performs other duties as assigned.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Experience or training that indicates sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position consistent with acceptable practices of the trade including but not limited to the following: 1. Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages. 2. Ability to work without more than normal supervision. 3. Must be able to keep things neat, clean and in order. 4. Possess basic food preparation and handling techniques. 5. Possess the ability to interpret verbal and written instructions. 6. Knowledgeable of basic sanitation principles. 7. Possess the ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment. 8. Able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds and frequency walk, bend, stoop, pull, push and reach.
