What you'd do

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the NAVAIRSYSCOM HQ of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.

Major duties

You will be responsible for the overall financial administration of several major programs and functions. You will provide technical guidance and training to junior team personnel. You will develop, prepare, or review budget data and/or makes presentations of budget or apportionment requests to higher executive authority. You will review and approve all documents requesting obligation or commitment of funds for conformance with the approved program planned with regulations, laws, and submission instructions. You will coordinate and assist in the development of program requirements with cognizant project manager, Assistant Commanders, and the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Mastering concepts, principles, practices, laws, and regulations of budgeting and/or financing and their relation to subordinate and senior levels; 2) Developing, recommending and implementing budgetary/financial policies; 3) Interpreting, assessing and projecting potential impact of new/revised Congressional legislation; 4) Analyzing, reviewing, and interpreting financial execution data and resolving variances; 5) Communicating clearly both orally and in writing for the purpose of providing information and guidance to management or customers at all levels.
