About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W6RLAA US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD, SCHOFIELD BARRACKS / HONOLULU / HAWAII.
Major duties
Serves as the 715th Military Intelligence Battalion Intelligence Analyst integrated as a senior SIGINT/Cryptologic analyst and technical advisor for the National Security Agency-Hawaii (NSAH) NSA/CSS Directorate of Operations (DO). Collects, analyzes, and interprets foreign communications and electronic signals to enable to production of intelligence reports and products for military decision-maker. Reviews reports, technical messages, translations, and transcriptions produced both in-house and by other USSS operational elements and correlates findings to analysts within the section to provide a daily collection, processing and analysis focus. Evaluates employee performance, sets performance standards and provides employees counseling as required and recommends awards or disciplinary action for employee performance. Works multiple processes and procedures between work centers to enhance collaboration, increase information sharing work towards and timely development of automated solutions.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.Specialized experience is defined as: 1. Experience interpreting SIGINT/Cryptologic collection concepts, principles, and practices to task resources, retrieve collected intelligence information, and manage technical overview of production, AND 2. Experience reviewing reports, technical messages, translations, and transcriptions produced both in-house and by other intelligence\ operational elements to correlate SIGINT findings within existing target intelligence data, AND 3. Experience assisting in the research and analysis of SIGINT and Cryptologic collection management, collection, processing, analysis, production, and/or dissemination tactics, techniques and procedures, AND 4. Experience exercising final authority for a full range of personnel actions and organizational design proposals recommended by subordinates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13).
