What you'd do

You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST in the SPECIAL PROJECTS SAIRC OPERATIONS of NIWC ATLANTIC.

Major duties

You will direct all aspects of the multidisciplinary security program, monitoring compliance, coordinating security activities, and ensuring personnel consistently follow established requirements for safeguarding classified information. You will protect classified information developed by or entrusted to the government by enforcing proper handling, storage, transmission, and access procedures while maintaining accountability and preventing unauthorized disclosure. You will conduct comprehensive security vulnerability assessments of the contractor security program, identify weaknesses, recommend corrective actions, verify improvements, and support ongoing compliance with required security standards. You will ensure contractor security operations comply with all applicable industrial security requirements by reviewing procedures, evaluating program effectiveness, documenting findings, and supporting continuous process improvements. You will coordinate with government representatives and contractor personnel to resolve security issues, provide expert guidance, strengthen protective measures, and maintain effective safeguards for classified information and related activities.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or NO-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Must possess a deep understanding of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Contract Classification System (NCCS). Experience drafting, reviewing, and validating DD Form 254s. Experience advising government contracting officers, program managers, and industry partners on all matters related to classified contracts. Must possess working knowledge of Sensitive Activities and Intelligence Related Contracting (SAIRC). This role demands strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
