What you'd do

Major duties

You will align hypersonic flight test objectives with Virginia-class submarine platform constraints. You will develop platform-to-missile integration strategies for Virginia-class weapon control systems. You will evaluate underwater launch test concepts to mitigate high-risk hypersonic transition phases. You will design system-level effectiveness criteria in support of submarine-launched missile operational evaluations. You will draft Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) annexes for joint navy platform-missile warfare certifications. You will facilitate technical exchange meetings between internal program leads and external testing agencies.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer or physicist, supporting and/or participating in the development or design of Test and Evaluation (T&E) strategies of a weapon system in an assigned program area.
