Major duties

You will serve as the Hazardous Waste/Material Specialist for the Combat Center and perform related work required to assist in the day-to-day disposal of hazardous waste/materials from generation sites within the combat center and tenant commands. You will provide technical assistance to generators and handlers of used oil and other industrial wastes on techniques for assuring compliance with environmental standards. You will coordinate the development and implementation of a data management system to support day to day hazardous waste/material disposal operations and the compilation and submittal of report to cognizant management official. You will assist the Hazardous Waste Material Officer with the development and incorporation of hazardous material and waste constraints into the construction and maintenance of improved grounds and facilities.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing hazardous waste disposal procedures within state and federal regulations, providing technical support on the proper storage and transportation of hazardous waste, implementation of data systems to support disposal operations and compile reports.
