Supervisory Govt Securities Specialist(Branch Manager)
What you'd do

This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Wholesale Operations Division. As a Supervisory Govt Securities Specialist(Branch Manager), you will manage the identification, proposal, development, and implementation of daily operational and long-term, complex solutions to resolve issues and achieve the mission of the Office.
Major duties
As a Supervisory Govt Securities Specialist(Branch Manager), you will: Develop Branch goals and objectives, independently or jointly with higher management, with the intent to monitor progress toward achieving those goals. Provide advice to the Director on changes to and schedules for programs or major projects. Plan work to be accomplished by the branch and sets priorities as well as deadlines for its completion. Monitor key/critical positions and actively participate in succession planning for the Division and the Office as input into the Bureau workforce plan. Gather data from various sources; monitor data to spot and track trends, identify problems, and resolve or recommend solutions to issues in service offering, customer accounts or individuals.
What you need to qualify
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé. Specialized Experience for the GS-14 you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Providing financial, technical or policy analysis related to marketable securities, or the underlying systems used for the issuance of Treasury securities. Such experience could include: Analyzing and developing solutions to enhance organizational, process, and operational efficiencies dealing with financial operations, OR Coordinating, leading, and prioritizing work for subordinate employees or a project team dealing with financial operations; OR Experience, in writing and in person, presenting technical findings to varied audiences, exchanging ideas, defending rationale, presenting recommendations, and negotiating solutions to sensitive issues related to financing and commercial book-entry matters. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
