What you'd do

You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Comptroller Department (N8), Disbursing, Travel & Payroll (N84), Compliance & Travel (N842), Liquidation/GTCC (N8421) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

Major duties

You will utilize the Defense Travel System to process travel requests. You will utilize the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) to assist with Travel Order Writing and Travel Order Liquidation. You will be responsible for the approval of travel authorizations and vouchers. You will be responsible for identifying travel restrictions and applicable training requirements. You will communicate with customers both verbally and in writing.

What you need to qualify

To Qualify for the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with both Travel Order Writing and Travel Order Liquidation. Experience identifying travel restrictions, required travel training, area clearances, and overseas travel arrangements. Experience with Daily Expense Files, Central Billing Accounts, Financial Management Systems, and creating, formulating, charting and graphing excel spreadsheets. To Qualify for the GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience assisting with travel order writing. Experience assisting with identifying various elements of travel arrangements and requirements. Experience assisting with basic budget formulation, budgets requests, financial management programs, and financial management systems.
