What you'd do

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, as the JAGM DAPML, in the SUSTAINMENT PROGRAM MANAGEMENT & ANALYSIS DEPARTMENT, WEAPONS LOGISTICS INTEGRATION DIVISION of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Major duties

You will serve as the principal assistant to the APML, responsible for the tactical execution of the weapon system's Product Support Strategy. You will provide logistics leadership and direct program management to ensure the system is operationally available, maintainable, and sustainable. You will develop, maintain and update the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), ensuring all 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements are addressed. You will lead the Logistics team at the Technical Project Office (TPO), coordinating efforts between engineering, contracting, finance, and fleet stakeholders to resolve sustainment issues. You will manage the execution of depot-level repairs, including the induction, tracking, and return of mission-capable assets. You will coordinate with Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) and Army counterparts to manage inventory, direct asset movement, and oversee receipt, inspection, and shipping policies. You will assist the APML in the development and management of the logistics budget, providing direct input for the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) cycle.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11/12) grade level or (DS-04) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing weapons cataloguing procedures and technical agent reviews; 2) Managing the execution of depot-level repairs (including induction, tracking, and return of mission-capable assets) and coordinating with agencies to direct inventory management, asset movement, or shipping/inspection policies; 3) Experience investigating and managing Conventional Ordnance Deficiency Reports (CODRs) or equivalent weapon system failure reports; 4) Generating, evaluating, and validating complex programmatic acquisition documents and technical data to ensure alignment with program sustainment strategies and fleet readiness goals.
