POLICE OFFICER
What you'd do
You will serve as a POLICE OFFICER in the OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT (N3) of NAVSTA EVERETT SEC DET.
Major duties
You will follow law enforcement procedures or techniques to enforce laws and protect life, property, and the civil rights of individuals. You will implement standard procedures for responding to requests for services, incidents, accidents, and alarms. You will perform law enforcement duties at fixed post entrance and exit gates to control vehicle and pedestrian traffic. You will apprehend or detain individuals in accordance with regulations or laws.

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Therefore, we encourage you to be clear and specific when describing your experience. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Apprehending personnel by the use of force or police equipment (e.g., firearms, Taser, Oleoresin Capsicum (OS) spray; 2) Preparing police reports concerning incidents and actions taken; and 3) Responding to emergency calls for service while adhering to state and federal laws. Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment. Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to travel to the academy. Agreement to Continue in Service - CSA, Agency requires 36 month of continued employment after the completion of required training from the FLETC in accordance with Title 5 USC 4108 and 5 CFR410.309. Failure to voluntary complete length of employment requirement can subject employee to reimburse to the agency for fees, such as tuition and related fees, travel, and other special expenses (excluding salary) paid in connection with the training.
