SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER
What you'd do
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER in the FORCE PROTECTION (N34) DEPARTMENT of NAVMAG INDIAN ISLAND SEC DET.
Major duties
You will identify law enforcement employee development needs to verify performance goals are met. You will conduct on-site inspections of law enforcement patrols to verify procedures are followed. You will develop long-range security goals, plans, and objectives for a law enforcement organization. You will arrest violators caught committing a criminal act. You will monitor radio channels to ensure they are clear for transmission of emergency matters. You will identify law enforcement areas that need improvement to provide recommendations.
What you need to qualify
In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Directing and making immediate decisions in the provisions of law enforcement (LE), antiterrorism (AT), and Force Protection (FP); 2) Performing a full range of duties and responsibilities in preventing terrorist activities, resolving offenses, conducting preliminary and ongoing investigations of incidents; 3) Documenting law enforcement and security events and the issuance of citations; and 4) Implementing FPCON measures and RAM in the response to command direction and terrorist threats. Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment. Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to travel to the academy. Agreement to Continue in Service - CSA, Agency requires 36 month of continued employment after the completion of required training from the FLETC in accordance with Title 5 USC 4108 and 5 CFR410.309. Failure to voluntary complete length of employment requirement can subject employee to reimburse to the agency for fees, such as tuition and related fees, travel, and other special expenses (excluding salary) paid in connection with the training.
