What you'd do

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 INDEFINITE EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORKER, Position Description Number D2427000 and is part of the CO 140 LRS, National Guard.

Major duties

The primary purpose of this position is to manage fuel on behalf of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) which consists of operations and maintenance of a fuel distribution system that includes a fuels laboratory, cryogenic storage, bulk storage, base service station, fuels information service center, mobile fueling operations and the financial account management for missile propellants, aviation fuels, ground fuels and cryogenics utilized in support of aircraft, motor vehicles, engine test cells, powered Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), generators and heating systems required to support the Wing mission and transient aircraft. Organizes, administers and evaluates a segment of the fuels quality assurance program for the organization. Directs, inspects, operates and maintains a complete fuels distribution system(s) to receive, store, transfer and issue both aviation and ground fuels. Operates one or more types of special purpose design aviation and ground fuel tank truck vehicles having a capacity of up to 6,000 gallons and gross vehicle weight of 70,000 pounds used for fueling/defueling various types of aircraft and ground fuels applications such as AGE, power production, heating and engine test cells. Operates, inspects and performs all required maintenance and repair on 400-5,000 gallon cryogenic storage tanks. Assess, monitor and reviews assigned Self-Assessment Communicators utilizing the Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) program. Performs other duties as assigned.

Military Grades: E-3 thru E-5 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2. You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume. Must have Specialized Experience in each of the following: 1. Experience operating, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting and overhauling fuel systems and components. 2. Experience initiating and controlling the movement and storage of fuel supplies by operating high pressure systems with a series of terminals connected by cross-country pipelines or multi-fuel storage and distribution facilities connected by a network of internal pipelines.
