Major duties
Major Duties: Facilitate and coordinate the use of rental properties and activities within Minute Man NHP including advertisement of properties, as well as review and selection of applicants. Develop, administer and ensure legal authorization for Commercial Use Authorizations including but not limited to issuing Special Use Permits, Leases, Partnership Agreements and Cooperative Agreements. Conduct planning and implementation required to provide high-quality visitor services in the area of use of park lands, structures and facilities. Facilitate condition assessments on various park assets in relation to the Leasing program and Commercial Use Activities and coordinates repairs and correction of deficiencies with appropriate park staff. Regularly liaisons with lease holders to ensure the conditions of the lease are met, problems or deficiencies are resolved, and park assets are properly maintained.

To qualify for this position at the GS- 07 level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: Participating in the oversight and management of commercial visitor services (concessions, commercial use authorizations, leases); Communicating information to internal and external stakeholders about program processes and requirements; Responding orally to inquiries regarding the agency's activities, mission and goals; Participate in the development and management of program budgets and assisting in the obligation of funds and expenditures; Providing customer service support to the general public for routine matters related to sales, real estate, visitor orientation or similar. You must include hours per week worked. -OR- EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least one full year of graduate level education (18 semester hours or 27 quarter hours) with a major study in a field such as business administration, finance, accounting, contracting, hospitality, park and recreation management, or other closely related subjects related to the work of this position. You must include transcripts.-OR-Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. For example, six months of specialized experience (50% of the experience requirement), and 14 semester hours of 21 quarter hours of graduate level college study in an accredited institution (50% of the qualifying education). You must include transcripts. -OR- Meet the criteria for Superior Academic Achievement (S.A.A.) as evidenced by one of the three following methods: I am in the upper third of my graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses; OR I have a GPA 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the 2 years of the curriculum, or 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 (B+ or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in my major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; OR I am a member in one of the national scholastic honor societies. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. ICTAP/CTAP Statement: Current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special priority selection rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) must be well qualified for the position to receive consideration for special priority selection. Well qualified means that the applicant meets the following: OPM qualification standards for the position; all selective placement factors, where applicable; special qualifying conditions that OPM has approved for the position, where applicable; is physically qualified with reasonable accommodation, where appropriate to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position upon entry; and is rated by the organization at least at the well qualified level on all competencies.
