This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Domestic DIB, MRTFB Direct Hire Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major duties

You will independently conduct hazardous and industrial waste pick-up, including thorough pre-inspection and hazard evaluation, coordinating closely with production and maintenance shops to ensure timely and compliant waste removal. You will plan, order, and manage the preparation and mixing of chemical solutions for production and maintenance processes. You will lead emergency spill response efforts for hazardous substances, including chemical, biological, and blood-borne pathogen (BBP) incidents. You will direct the pumping, transport, storage, and delivery of industrial and bulk hazardous wastes to treatment facilities, ensuring proper profiling, sampling, and laboratory analysis to comply with waste characterization standards. You will review, prepare, and validate documentation and manifests supporting hazardous waste disposal, maintaining accurate records for regulatory audits and compliance reporting.

What you need to qualify

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF a Hazardous Waste Disposer, WG- 6913-07 without more than normal supervision such as: Applying hazardous waste managing techniques and/principles i.e., hazardous waste handling, chemical characteristics, and environmental regulations; Utilizing hazardous materials management systems and electronic recordkeeping; Coordinate and lead spill response actions, (confined space entry and the use of specialized personal protective equipment (PPE) -- hazardous substances, including chemical, biological, and blood-borne pathogen (BBP) incidents; conducts confined space entries with continuous air monitoring under permit-required protocols; AND Interpreting safety data sheets, waste profile sheets, and standard operating procedures; Using communication skills to coordinate with engineers, regulatory agencies, and production staff.
