Supervisory IT Specialist
What you'd do
This position serves as a Supervisory IT Specialist, located in the Office of Information Technology, Executive Office for Immigration Review, U.S. Department of Justice. The Supervisory IT Specialist is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of IT services and operations, network and telecommunications services, and customer-facing support services.
Major duties
The duties and responsibilities for a Supervisory IT Specialist GS-2210-14 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Serves as a Supervisory IT Specialist with responsibility for directing and managing enterprise information technology services, including customer support, network operations, communication systems, and systems administration. Provides oversight of end-user computing services, including desktop systems, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and telecommunications services. Monitors systems administration activities to ensure reliability, availability, and security of enterprise systems. Develops, implements, and maintains IT policies, procedures, and operational standards. Plans and assigns work based on priorities and employee capabilities and establish performance standards and evaluate employee's performance.
What you need to qualify
To qualify for the position of Supervisory IT Specialist, at GS-2210-14, you must meet the qualification requirements listed below. Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions. AND Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-14 grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties: Providing guidance in developing, implementing, and updating policies, procedures, and operational standards pertaining to IT network operations, service functions, communication systems, and systems administration; Planning workflow and work assignments for staff by setting and adjusting short-term work priorities; Monitoring system performance and leading corrective actions to enhance performance and prevent future issues; Advising on new and advanced technologies and determining the impact on operational effectiveness; and Managing the full lifecycle of enterprise-level IT systems, overseeing the planning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software. You MUST meet all qualification requirements, including time-in-grade, by 07/27/2026 of this announcement.
