HEALTH SYSTEMS SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a HEALTH SYSTEMS SPECIALIST in the DIRECTOR, CLINICAL OPERATIONS POLICY AND STANDARDS of BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY.
Major duties
You will serve as the Navy Medicine Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), Overseas Suitability Screening (OSS), and Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) liaison to DHA. You will monitor and evaluate the EFMP, OSS, and EDIS to ensure compliance with DHA and DoD policy and procedure. You will support Family Readiness to develop and implement Navy Medicine plans, policies, and procedures consistent with legislative mandates. You will receive and review requests for incapacitation determinations from the Bureau of Naval Personnel and Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps. You will collect and analyze various program data for planning and assessment, especially with regard to provision of quality of care, policies, and operations. You will respond to requests for information (RFIs) from numerous DoD agencies including but not limited to DoD Inspector General (IG), Government Accountability Office (GAO), and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Experience assisting in the medical and educational needs of military family members. - Experience interpreting legislative laws and policies relating to the DoD and DHA. - Experience monitoring and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of Readiness programs such as OSS/FMTS, EFMP, EDIS, and INCAP. - Experience with project management methods and techniques to ensure effective program operations. - Experience presenting briefings and conducting workshops and trainings. - Experience researching complex material and assisting with the preparation of written material such as letters, memoranda, policy and guidance, and reports.
