SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Business Enablement Division (BED) of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.
Major duties
You will lead and supervise personnel responsible for the implementation, sustainment, and continuous improvement of Marine Corps logistics management systems and related logistics operations. You will serve as the principal subject matter expert and advisor on legacy and emerging logistics management systems, providing technical guidance and recommendations to leadership on logistics modernization initiatives. You will develop, coordinate, and deliver training programs that prepare users to effectively operate current and future logistics management systems while ensuring compliance with organizational training requirements. You will lead and coordinate logistics systems modernization efforts, supporting the planning, implementation, testing, and transition of enterprise logistics capabilities across multiple functional areas. You will analyze logistics operations and system performance, identify operational issues and risks, and recommend process and system improvements that enhance supply, maintenance, distribution, and asset accountability. You will collaborate with Headquarters Marine Corps, major commands, other military services, and Federal agencies to resolve complex logistics systems issues and support enterprise logistics objectives. You will oversee logistics modernization initiatives, monitor milestones and user readiness, and provide executive-level briefings and decision support on logistics systems implementation and sustainment.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: involved in the management, implementation, and improvement of logistics systems while planning work, developing staff, and ensuring effective execution of organizational priorities. Analyze logistics operations, evaluate system performance, and advise leadership on logistics system improvements, implementation strategies, and process enhancements. Developing and delivering training on logistics systems, coordinating cross-functional implementation efforts, and supporting the successful transition to new logistics processes and technologies. Managing multiple high-priority logistics initiatives, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, resolving complex operational issues, and improving organizational performance through effective logistics systems management and continuous process improvement.
