Major duties

You will lead the planning, direction, and execution of contract actions supporting major acquisition programs while ensuring compliance with governing laws, policies, regulations, and organizational objectives throughout the procurement process. You will analyze and evaluate highly complex procurement actions, contract strategies, and pricing information to provide expert recommendations that support sound business decisions and successful program execution You will develop and deliver clear written and oral presentations to senior leaders, represent the organization before executive boards and committees, and provide authoritative guidance on acquisition and contracting matters. You will supervise, assign, and balance the work of team members, establish priorities, monitor progress, evaluate completed work, and ensure assignments are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. You will coach and develop employees by providing technical guidance, resolving workplace issues, identifying training needs, evaluating performance, and fostering collaboration to achieve organizational goals and mission success. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex acquisition issues, obtain required resources, improve business processes, and ensure contract actions support mission requirements and strategic priorities. You will monitor program performance, communicate project status to leadership, recommend process improvements, resolve significant problems affecting mission accomplishment, and ensure quality standards and deadlines are consistently achieved.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing expert advice on procurement policies and strategies; analyzing, reviewing, and exercising unlimited contractual authority for contract actions and long-term procurements for the acquisition of major systems; evaluating cost and pricing strategies and data; and leading a team to achieve mission - critical objectives efficiently.
