Major duties

You will be responsible for the accomplishment of broad management functions with the planning, management, administration and implementation of the technical and administrative operations of the housing management programs. You will review Inspector General (IG) and audit reports of installation housing management to assure appropriate response and corrective action. You will review and interpret DOD, USMC, and installation orders and policies for impact on the Public Private Venture (PPV) programs. You will plan, schedule, and coordinate the work among office specialists. You will establish work priorities and deadlines; explaining work requirements and methodologies to be used and executed; outlining procedures to employees as needed. You will review work in progress or upon completion; approving leave and timecards; reviewing and authorizing employee travel; completing annual performance reviews. You will coordinate actions/correspondence with other installation staff offices.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Comprehensive Housing Management experience, Knowledge of Fair housing laws, basic understanding of Public Private Venture (PPV) program, Comprehensive knowledge of housing codes, policies, regulation and law. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
