Major duties
You will oversee the delivery and implementation of sports analysis services across the Warrior Athlete Readiness and Resilience (WARR) portfolio. You will conduct performance assessments, make performance training recommendations, and utilize athlete management systems and resources to support the development of human performance training. You will develop human performance presentations and report performance data trends to civilian and military leaders. You will oversee the performance and athlete management system, maintain the performance data infrastructure and mentor program staff on using and integrating human performance technological resources to maximize participant readiness. You will work closely with program staff to design sound strength and conditioning programming and periodization principles around constraints within the training environment. You will participate in local advisory groups and councils or command briefs related to human performance and make recommendations on performance assessment protocols.
What you need to qualify
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Administering physical fitness assessments utilizing gait analysis tools and mechanical sensing systems; analyzing human performance data to make recommendations for executing projects related to health, sport, athlete and/or tactical performance; AND writing sport and strength-conditioning programs based on performance data outcomes.
