DEPUTY PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT
What you'd do
You will serve as a DEPUTY PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT in the Operations Department (C/300) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Major duties
You will manage and oversee all aspects of the project, including the planning, engineering, production, testing. You will determine the scope of the work package, evaluate the ability of the Shipyard to support the work packages, and recommend modification of the work package, if necessary. You will determine the manpower, material, facilities, and other needs of the project. You will be responsible for following and enforcing all established safety rules and requirements. You will monitor the project's budget and overtime expenditures and key aspects of the project's work progress. You will oversee a diverse workforce composed of nearly all of the Federal Wage System trades in the Shipyard.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing or managing ship and/or submarine system overhauls, repairs or conversion projects. Examples of qualifying experience may include: monitoring project assignments; managing material, labor costs and overtime; overseeing the efforts of various trades in completing a project.
