About the Position: Serves as supervisor over accountability & stock control, transportation, and ammunition systems personnel providing managerial guidance and leadership. Develop those teams by providing initial performance goals and direction. Develops team skills and capabilities. Provides updates on the Depot Operation's vision and direction. Fosters a climate that highlights initiative, creative thinking, and risk taking.

Major duties

Plan and implement the transition for the Depot Operations Directorate utilization and modernization of Tooele Army Depot. Represent TEAD and the Director in all transition planning actions and proposals concerning aspects of facility utilization for Depot Operations. Meet with respective headquarter officials and contractors to mitigate issues or concerns resulting from the transition of conducting conventional ammunition supply operations. Exercise technical and administrative direction over all division activities. Interpret directives pertinent to assigned activities and disseminates necessary information to subordinates for compliance. Develop and review long and short-term objectives, plans, and programs that will enforce the Ammunition Support Division to the installation’s best interest.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing and directing people and projects involved with supply management, transportation management, or deployment of ammunition. Experience applying qualitative and quantitative techniques to evaluate the effectiveness of supply management or transportation management programs and operations and determining regulatory requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
