What you'd do

You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the Avail Planning & Execution Division (4X1), Contracts (CCO) Department (C400), of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.

Major duties

You will monitor contract technical performance over the life cycle of the contracts and issues correspondence or other direction to contractors to resolve problems. You will evaluate Change Order Price Analysis (COPA) proposals, and past performance under single award Firm Fixed Price and other cost type contracts. You will perform cost and price analysis to determine fair and reasonableness of a contract proposal. You will review contract completion documentation for adequacy and accuracy.

What you need to qualify

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience managing the complete lifecycle of government contracts, including pre-award planning, solicitation, negotiation, and post-award administration. Experience conducting cost and price analysis for complex contract actions and documenting negotiation outcomes. Experience providing guidance, training, or mentorship to junior-level contract specialists on contracting processes and complex actions. Experience applying knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and its supplements to manage complex procurements. Experience utilizing procurement systems such as the Standard Procurement System (SPS) or Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) for contract-related functions. Experience conducting scoping conferences, negotiation sessions and mentoring and training subordinate employees and interns.
