Foreman I Craftsman
What you'd do
You will serve as a Foreman I Craftsman, leading a work crew in the accomplishment of Upper Columbia Area operations, maintenance and repair to the equipment and facilities assigned to the Yakima Field Office, and performs regular non-supervisory craftsman-level work also.
Major duties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Leads a team of tradesman to maintain and repair equipment and facilities related to water storage and conveyance systems (canals). Performs multiple trade skills at the journeyman level. Have general knowledge of several other trade skills and proper work methods. Ensure safe work practices are established and followed. Estimate, schedule, plan, and execute work tasks in a timely and professional manner. Communicate instructions and assignments to staff and communicate regularly with the supervisor.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Includes Blueprint Reading) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc. Knowledge of materials Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. To be found minimally qualified, your resume must show: I have performed 3 of the following duties on a regular basis: millwright, welding, metal fabricating, general mechanics (inspecting, repairing, lubricating and testing), carpentry, machinist, concrete finishing and repair, plumbing or pipe fitting, painting (industrial), masonry, and equipment operation (such as graders, backhoes, motor vehicles, forklifts).
