What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENT in the Naval Foundry & Propeller Center (NFPC) (Future Code 40B of NFPC in FY27) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Major duties

You will manage second line supervisors of all the trade work at NFPC. You will develop work processes and execute all work assigned to the division ensuring the delivery of NFPC's products. You will ensure equipment is properly maintained. You will serve as the highest technical authority for all trade matters relating to production planning, processes and techniques of the shop. You will implement Foundry policy, and integrate and execute all efforts required to accomplish goals and objectives.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: *Experience managing personnel, including planning and assigning work, setting priorities, advising employees of program goals and objectives and making decisions on work problems. *Experience in workload planning systems with the ability to analyze, evaluate, and adjust multi-trade manpower resources, equipment, and facilities against concurrent production schedules. *Experience operating in an industrial environment, preferably in a foundry and/or large machine shop. *Experience managing multiple levels of shop supervisors and trades personnel. *Experience identifying workload requirements and needed process improvements or facility modifications for higher-level review.
