SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST (ANTITERRORISM)
What you'd do
You will serve as a Supervisory Security Specialist (Antiterrorism) in the Force Protection Department of NAVBASE GUAM FORCE PROTECTION.
Major duties
You will interpret policy and guidance, determine potential impact on the organization and develop short and long range plans to ensure compliance with legislation, governing instructions, policies and standards. You will ensure the integration and protection of critical assets, restricted areas, mission essential vulnerable assets, tenant commands, shipboard and other installation units and activities are in compliance. You will oversee the implementation of Antiterrorism, Force Protection, and Physical Security planning at the Installation level. You will plan, prioritize, schedule, and assign work to be accomplished by subordinates and will identify developmental and training needs of employees and provide and/or arrange for needed training. You will serve as the technical expert in a wide variety of duties related to planning, development, management, and direction of all aspects of the program.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) managing and implementing Antiterrorism, Force Protection, and Physical Security policy, doctrine, and training programs and ensuring the integration and protection of critical assets are in compliance (e.g. restricted areas, mission essential assets, tenant commands, shipboard and other installation units and activities); 2) planning, prioritizing, scheduling, and assigning work to be accomplished by subordinates; 3) interpreting and implementing DoD and Navy security policies and directives; 4) conducting threat, criticality, and vulnerability assessments for installation security; and 5) coordinating strategic security planning and risk management systems across multiple commands. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
