About the Position: This position serves as the Director of Information Management located at the Tooele Army Depot.

Major duties

As the Director of Information Management/Network Enterprise Center you will serve as the principal civilian information systems management advisor, providing staff and technical advice to the Deputy to the Commander, The Depot Commander, and staff. Provide technical and staff guidance to subordinate activities. Apply administrative and managerial skills, abilities, experience and technical knowledge of Information Management (IM)/Information Technology (IT) to integrate numerous complex functions. Ensure information technology services are provided to employees, infrastructure, and services to supported tenants. Identify requirements, plan for, organize and distribute authorized personnel resources. Through subordinate supervisors assign, direct, and evaluate work of the subordinate organizational elements Review and accept or reject work accomplished; evaluates subordinates performance; identifies and fulfills the training needs of subordinates. Serve as the Career Program (CP) Manager for CP 34 (Information Technology) on the installation. Exercise program responsibility for formulation, development, preparation, presentation, and administration of local IM/IT objectives, policies, programs, plans and projects for supported organizations. Administer implementation of approved programs and projects.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Basic Requirement for the Supervisory IT Specialist (Policy/Planning: your resume must indicate IT-related experience demonstrating the four competencies: 1) Attention to Detail - Thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information make clear and convincing oral presentations. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND In addition to meeting the basic requirement, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements. Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Experience managing, coordinating, implementing, or maintaining a comprehensive Information Technology (IT) program. Experience providing technical guidance and advice to other IT Specialists. Experience providing support for the operations, management, configuration, maintenance, or complete life cycle of client computers and computer systems. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accountability Customer Service Decisiveness Flexibility Interpersonal Skills Problem Solving Resilience Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
