What you'd do
This position is part of the, Export-Import Bank of the US - OIG, Office of Special Reviews . The incumbent will be responsible for independently support EXIM-OIG's inspections, evaluations, and special reviews program.
Major duties
Independently researches, analyzes, and evaluates information and materials relating to EXIM-Bank's programs, operations, policies, and systems. Conducts special reviews of EXIM-Bank programs, operations, or transactions for conformity. Participates in policy analysis for the purpose of evaluating options for future policy. Prepares reports for areas assigned, describing significant results and conclusions.
What you need to qualify
At the GS-14 level, you must meet the following qualification: One year of specialized experience that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-13 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is in or directly related to the line of work of this position and has equipped you with the knowledge and competencies to successfully perform the duties of this position. More specifically, this requirement experience in item (1) Conducting or leading inspections, evaluations, reviews, audits, or other oversight activities involving federal programs, operations, policies, or organizational functions AND at least 3 of the following remaining 5 items: 2. Planning, organizing, and executing complex reviews or evaluations to assess program effectiveness, efficiency, compliance, risk, internal controls, or operational performance. 3. Researching, analyzing, and evaluating qualitative and quantitative information, data, records, policies, procedures, or supporting documentation to develop findings, recommendations, and conclusions. 4.Preparing and presenting written reports, management advisories, briefings, or other products that communicate significant results, recommendations, or corrective actions to senior leadership or external stakeholders. 5. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including federal agencies, oversight organizations, contractors, or other entities, to obtain information, conduct reviews, or support oversight activities. 6. Identifying program, operational, financial, regulatory, or management vulnerabilities and recommending improvements to enhance compliance, accountability, effectiveness, or efficiency of organizational programs and operations. Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered. TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
