What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY RECREATION FITNESS SPECIALIST in the Semper Fit Division of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR.

Major duties

You will plan and coordinate and execute base-wide activities for the Single Marine Program. You will identify procedures and evaluate recreational activities that are facility and non-facility based. You will conduct a wide variety of social, competitive, and educational activities. You will conduct a wide variety of activities, such as paintball, deep sea fishing/ski trips, river rafting, mountain biking, hiking, and other adventurous activities. You will coordinate and collaborate efforts and resources among applicable Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) activities.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning and coordinating recreational program activities and events that will stimulate and sustain the interest of participants; developing and monitor the execution of an annual operating budget to ensure activities and programs meet organizational goals and objectives; providing guidance on facility and grounds maintenance, safety regulations, and specialized equipment; and overseeing purchasing and inventory control to ensure items meet program guidelines.
