What you'd do

You will serve as a Supervisory General Supply Specialist in the Supply Management Department ofNAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.

Major duties

You will evaluate the site's operations through analytical techniques and collaborate with various other groups to coordinate mission goals. You will exercise judgment to determine necessary actions designed to solve internal supply operating problems. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. You will develop alternatives and recommendations that are designed to meet requirements across the entire spectrum of supply and transportation functions.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector directing a staff responsible for supply, HAZMAT, postal and household goods support. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Applying a deep knowledge of supply management techniques in supply, transportation, and mail handling; 2) Analyzing complex information to evaluate, plan, and direct operations management; 3) Demonstrating knowledge of policies and regulations for postal operations, HAZMAT management, household good management, materiel management and their transportation; and 4) Utilizing forecasting techniques and systems to improve efficacy and efficiency.
