What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TECHNICIAN in the AVAILABILITY PLANNING DIVISION WITHIN THE MODERNIZATION & INSTALLATION DEPT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Major duties

You will serve as the first-level supervisor within Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division. You will assume a pivotal role in the management, planning, and technical direction of complex Department of the Navy projects supporting multiple Surface Ship programs. You will maintain continuous formal and informal dialogue with mid- and senior-level leaders, including those at the Flag and Captain levels. You will convey technical, programmatic, financial, and administrative efforts, ensuring that NSWC PHO leadership is kept fully apprised of project statuses, mission risks, and resource requirements. You will lead Command initiatives related to strategic studies and long-range planning. You will ensure that all branch tasks and tactical executions are in strict alignment with established Command and Department Strategic Objectives, missions, and core values.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing leadership and guidance in the performance of technical and engineering services related to management, planning, and technical direction of complex projects and utilizing financial and administrative support tools and processes in support of combat and weapon systems and equipment programs.
