SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Support Equipment (SE) Fleet Support Team (FST), Automatic Test Systems (ATS) branch of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. The duty location of this position is San Diego, CA.
Major duties
You will exercise full supervisory responsibility over a logistics team, which includes setting priorities, assigning work, conducting performance appraisals, and identifying training opportunities to maximize team effectiveness. You will direct all phases of integrated product support, from concept exploration to disposal, for the CASS family of testers, Test Program Sets and related Common/Peculiar Support Equipment ensuring optimal system readiness and mission capability. You will formulate and articulate logistics strategies for affordable readiness, establishing program goals, tasks, and objectives in close coordination with the Program Manager Air (PMA) and Integrated Program Team (IPT) Leads. You will manage program execution, track budgets, and oversee resource/work-hour expenditures, ensuring the consistent application of standard logistics processes across the FST, COMFRC, and NAVAIR enterprise. You will serve as the primary technical advisor and spokesperson for the ATS program, developing collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders while seamlessly adapting to frequent changes in program requirements and funding. You will brief senior Navy officials on critical ATS logistics issues and represent the FRCSW Fleet Support Team (FST) at high-level focus groups, conferences, and program reviews regarding logistics developments and innovations.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying Integrated Product Support (IPS) principles to manage the life-cycle of Support Equipment (SE), Automated Test Equipment (ATE), or similar complex defense systems; 2) Serving as a principal logistician, logistics lead, or primary product support point of contact for a program, product, or team; 3) Performing IPS functions across multiple logistics areas, such as maintenance planning, supply support, sustaining engineering, or technical data management; and 4) Justifying future resource and/or workload requirements by preparing briefs and/or proposals based on the analysis of system performance data (e.g., aircraft failure and repair data).
