What you'd do

You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the FORCE PROTECTION DIVISION of NAVSTA EVERETT SEC DET.

Major duties

You will generate reports in support of security operations using automated databases or programs. You will collaborate with local and regional suppliers to obtain items to meet the requirements of the program for routine and special items. You will prepare correspondence and documents in accordance with regulations and policies ensuring they follow proper structure, grammar and punctuation. You will communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate, or explain information, take orders, and address complaints.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing and maintaining a variety of security documents, records and databases; 2) Procuring supplies, using proper procedures and managing supplies to maintain adequate supplies; and 3) Utilizing office automation software to prepare reports in the correct format. NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
