HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION/RECRUITMENT)
What you'd do
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION/RECRUITMENT) in the COMMANDER NAVY INSTALLATIONS COMMAND (CNIC) of COMMANDER, NAVY REGION NORTHWEST. Salary Breakdown: GS-09: $ 69,373 - $ 90,190 GS-11: $ 83,935 - $ 109,122
Major duties
You will manage recruitment processes from request-to-fill to entrance-on-duty for an organization. You will draft correspondence on applicant-related matters (e.g., notifications of eligibility, referral/non-referral notices, selection letters) You will solve human resources problems that cross multiple program lines (e.g., recruitment, classification, compensation). You will explain civilian human resources policies and procedures to customers. You will respond to customer inquiries by researching data from a human resources information system (e.g., Defense Civilian Personnel Data System [DCPDS] or similar system).
What you need to qualify
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Use knowledge of the recruitment hiring process to initiate recruitment actions and resolve recruiting problems/ issues; 2) provide guidance to management on a variety of recruitment options; 3) collaborate with management officials to write and review position descriptions; and 4) use electronic personnel databases to enter information for personnel request and pull reports from the database to provide current status to managers. NOTE: This experience must be supported by your resume. GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Applying complex civilian recruitment and placement and classification concepts, practices, regulations, precedents and procedures; 2) Guiding managers on the use of special recruiting authorities (e.g., veterans, direct hire) and strategies; 3)Collaborating with management officials to write and review position descriptions 4) Providing advisory, guidance, and training to managers and command personnel on the hiring process; 5)Use of electronic personnel databases, systems and reports.
